How To Get There

Sundowner Tiona Tourist Park in Pacific Palms is located approximately: 3 hrs drive north of Sydney 1.5 hrs drive north of Newcastle.

The quickest way to get to Sundowner Tiona is by vehicle therefore if you are flying into Sydney or Newcastle our front office team can provide you with rental options for vehicles.

By Car

Traveling north from Sydney or Newcastle, take the F3 Freeway north joining the Pacific Highway at Hexham. Drive through the town of Bulahdelah and 3km north turn right onto the Lakes Way (see Map 2) and follow the signs to Pacific Palms (approximately 30 minutes drive).

Travelling south from Brisbane or Port Macquarie on the Pacific Highway National Route No. 1, continue past the Taree and Old Bar exits turning left onto Tuncurry Road (Tourist Drive 6). On the way you will pass through Tuncurry and Forster, see signs to Green Point and pass through Tiona, travelling approximately 15 minutes to Pacific Palms.

Fly to Newcastle Airport with Virgin Blue or Jet Star and then either transfer to Newcastle for a direct coach to the Great Lakes or alternatively catch the shuttle from the airport to Forster.
